J&W Medical LLC was formed in 2002 with the mission to design, develop, test and evaluate unique ultrasound products that promote the healing of the musculoskeletal system. In particular, we are focused on establishing the “gold standard” for tissue characterization, to differentiate clearly in situ between normal and abnormal tissue.

J&W has considerable experience and expertise in medical diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound, sonar, and nondestructive testing. We are a complete ultrasound product development group, with the (patented) knowledge, talent, and broad experience to address technical problems on a total systems basis, and to offer our clients cost-effective top-down solutions. J&W bridges the gap between academia and the commercialization of products in the above areas, with a focus on the development of supporting intellectual property.

In support of these efforts, our core competencies include management functions, interfacing with medical groups to conduct clinical tests, and evaluating subcontractors and OEM suppliers. Attention is given to satisfying FDA requirements and meeting the ISO 9001 quality systems model for quality assurance in design, development, production and servicing.

We are available for short or long-term consulting projects, and are actively seeking corporate partners in the medical devices industry for technology transfer and licensing.
